Hi Carri, You first need to perform the operations inside the parentheses. When I look at $((5 \times 12)/3 ) + 30-50 $ the first pair of parentheses I see are the ones around $(5 \times 12)/3$. Hence I first need to evaluate$(5 \times 12) /3.$ Again there are parentheses and inside is $5 \times 12.$ Thus you should first evaluate $5 \times 12$ and then divide the result by 3. Final add 30 to this and then subtract 50 from the result. What did you get? Penny |
