Question from Grace:

hi, I can't figure out how to do 735 in exponential form. note that I'm only in 5th grade and its not supposed to be in the scientific notation or whatever. okay, thanks!

HI Grace,

Exponential form means anything that involves exponents so this question is not very clear. I expect what is expected is

\[735 = 7 \times 100 + 3 \times 10 + 5 \times 1 = 7 \times 10^2 + 3 \times 10^1 + 5 \times 10^{0}.\]

I hope this helps,
Penny
