a square with a perimeter of 48 and a triangle with a perimeter of 38. when they are joined they make a pentagon. please find the perimeter

Hi Livvy,

If a square has a perimeter of 48 units what is the length of a side?

I drew your square and placed a triangle with perimeter 38 units on top of the square to form a pentagon. I drew the perimeter of the pentagon in red.
