Question from Michael: $\$300$ divided by 1,000,000 is 00.0003 ... so, is that three hundredths of one ($\$$ 00.0003) cent or what ... thanks |
Hi Michael,
I would write the $\$300$ in cents first so $\$300$ is $30,000$ cents.
\[\frac{30,000}{1,000,000} = \frac{3}{100} = 0.03 \]
and hence $\$300$ divided by 1,000,000 is 0.03 cents or 3 one-hundredths of a cent.
