Question from Arunsi: When a fifth of a certain number is added to 3 the result is 17. What is the number? |
Hi Arunsi,
If you have one fifth of a number and you add 3 to get 17 then you must have had 14 before you added 3. Hence one fifth of the number is 14. What is 5 fifths of the number?
