Question from Hardebolar:

simultaneous equation by substitution method.

a-b=2/3
a+b=1 2/3

Hi,

I would add $b$ to both sides of the first equation to get $a = 2/3 + b.$ Substitute this value into the second equation and solve for $b.$ Substitute this value of $b$ into the first equation and solve for $a.$

Verify that tour values of $a$ and $b$ satisfy the two equations,
Penny
