Question from Teresa:

If a rectangle shape piece of land is 813 feet long. How many feet width would be 2 acres?

Hi Tereas,

The area of a rectangle is its length times its width and hence if your land is $W$ feet wide then its area is $813 \times W$ square feet. If you knew how many square feet there are in 2 acres you could solve for $W$ by dividing the number of square feet in two acres by 813.

To find the number of square feet in 2 acres you can type How many square feet are there in 2 acres? into the Google search window, or use a smart assistant. I'm a Mac user so I would ask Siri.

Write back if you need more assistance,
Penny
