Question from Donelle:

Freddy is three times as old as Mary. Mary is twice as old as Jack. Jack is 11
years old. How old is Freddy?

Hi Donelle,

You sent us three statements and a question. I suggest you work backwards through the three statements.

Jack is 11 years old.

How old is Jack?

That's easy, Jack is 11 years old.

Mary is twice as old as Jack.

How old is Mary?

Freddy is three times as old as Mary.

How old is Freddy?

Cheers,
Penny
