Factoring trinomials that are squared

I have a question that I really need an answer to. I need help with factoring trinomials that are squared. Can you help me?

Sometime with an algebra problem it helps to think about what you would do if it were an arithmetic problem. In this case, how would you factor 15²?

15 is 3 times 5 so

15² = (3x5)² = (3x5)(3x5) = 3² 5²

Simularly

(x² - x - 2)² = [(x-2)(x+1)]² = (x-2)² (x+1)²
