If you have and 8 liter and a 3 liter jug and you want exactly 4 liters how do you get it if there is a water hose near by but thats all you have to get the 4 liters how do you do it ????? kynadi kemp Hi Kynadi Fill the 3 liter jug and pour it into the 8 liter jug. Do it again so that you have 6 liters in the 8 liter jug. Now fill the 3 liter jug again and pour it into the 8 liter jug until it is full. You have 1 liter in the 3 liter jug. Empty the 8 liter jug and pour the 1 liter into it. Fill the three liter jug again and pour it into the 8 liter jug to get 4 liters.
