My name: Meredith O'Neill middle school (8)
At this point, the whole family wants to know the answer. if possible an explanation. thanks 16,37,58,89,145 ?? Hi Meredith,The pattern here seems to be "each term in this sequence, after the first, is the sum of the squares of the digits in the previous term". That is 3^{2} + 7^{2} = 9 + 49 = 58 5^{2} + 8^{2} = 25 + 64 = 89 If this is the correct pattern then the next term is Construct a few more terms of this sequence and see what happens. Cheers,Chris
