Materials needed:

• Geoboards
  
  
• Elastics
  
  
• Pattern Blocks
  
  
• Dot Paper
  
  

Find a partner to work with:

• Select two geoboards, some elastics, and some pattern blocks.
  
  
• Choose a person to lead first. That person will make a shape on the geoboard and the other student has to make the congruent figure on the their geoboard.
  
  
• Record the shapes on your dot paper.
  
  
• Switch whom goes first.
  
  
• When you are done put your dot paper in your portfolio.
  
  
  
  
• Also make congruent shapes with the pattern blocks.
  
  
• One student makes a shape with the pattern blocks and the other student makes the congruent shape.
  
  
• Record your shapes on the dot paper.
  
  
• Switch whom goes first.
  
  
• Put the dot paper in your portfolio.
