Data Management lends itself better to projects that take place over several days. It is best to meld instruction and assessment through these projects. This is more meaningful for students and for many makes the projects more valid. Understanding can be assessed through oral discussions, tests and quizzes. Performance stations can be used for probability activities.
Teachers can create and adapt stations for probability as need and opportunities arise. Similar stations can be created by using activities from textbooks and other resources. Binders that accompany manipulatives are an excellent source of ready-made activities.
