  Materials: blank spinner mat, overhead spinner, blank six-sided die, probability top.

 
  • Create a spinner mat like the one shown.
  • Predict where the spinner will land before you twirl it. Check and see!
  • Repeat this several times.
 
  • Create a die like the one shown on the net.
  • Predict what you will roll before you throw the die. Check and see!
  • Repeat this several times.
 
  • Create a probability top like the one shown.
  • Predict where the top will stop before you spin it. Check and see!
  • Repeat this several times.
Game
  Materials: overhead spinners, 3 blank spinner mats, small blocks.

  • Create three spinner mats like the ones shown.
  • On your turn, pick a spinner mat and twirl the spinner.
  • Take or return as many blocks as indicated by the spinner.
  • First player to accumulate 10 or more blocks is the winner. Play again.

Adaptations:

  • Add other spinner mats.
  • Play until someone reaches 20 exactly.
