Question from Gary: I am trying to build an octagon with 27 in outside diameter, i could make it 28 if it makes the calculations easier. Anyway i need to figure out the length of each individual piece of the octagon. I have tried and i can't get it, please help |

Look at my response to Richard who had a very similar question. For your octagon the length of a side x is given by x = 
inches which is 11.1838 inches or approximately 11 3/16 inches.
