Question from Ellie: is a rectangle a parallelogram? |
Hi Ellie,
In our Glossary of Mathematical Terms we define a parallelogram as a quadrilateral with both pairs of opposite sides parallel.
Is a rectangle a quadrilateral?
Does a rectangle have both pairs of opposite sides parallel?
If the answer to both these questions is yes then it is a parallelogram.
