Subject: maths

hi i am kit.
i have a problem of maths. i think the level of the question is secondary. question: Find the mean and the standard deviation of the numbers:1, 3, 4, 5, 7. i hope u solve this question.
thank you so much!

Hi Kit
The mean of a collection of numbers is another name for the average. If you have n numbers then the mean is the sum of the numbers divided by n. In your case the mean is (1+3+4+5+7)/5 = 20/5 = 4.

Standard deviation is explained in a note in the Resource Room called A note on standard deviation. Try it with your data.
