Question:
I would like to know what is the absolute value of i. I need an answer suitable for the secondary level. Thank you.

Hi again Wayne
If you use the complex plane that I explained in the reply to your previous question then the concept of |a+ib| can be seen geometrically. (|a+ib| is usually called the modulus of a+ib rather than its absolute value.)
Think of |a+ib| as the distance, in the complex plane, from 0 to a+ib. The distance formula gives this to be . Hence for the complex number i, |i|=1
